Who is responsible for your information?
SilanganTech Solar Products Trading (“SilanganTech,” “we,” or “us”) is responsible for personal information submitted through silangantech.com.
Information we collect
Depending on the form you use, we may collect your name, email address or mobile number, property type, city or general location, message, electricity bill or consumption, electricity rate, daytime and nighttime usage, desired savings target, available roof area, backup needs, and the preliminary results produced by our solar estimator.
If you voluntarily share a precise property location in a future location feature, we will use it only for the assessment and related follow-up described here. Our server and hosting provider may also process limited technical information, such as an IP address and request logs, for security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.
Why we use it
- To answer your inquiry and contact you about the assessment you requested.
- To calculate and review a preliminary solar recommendation.
- To prepare for a proposal, consultation, or site survey when you ask us to continue.
- To protect the website, prevent spam, and troubleshoot delivery problems.
- To meet legitimate business, recordkeeping, and legal obligations.
The estimator provides an initial automated calculation only. It does not make a legal or similarly significant decision about you. A final proposal requires review by the SilanganTech team and, where appropriate, a site inspection and engineering assessment.
Consent and your choices
We ask you to actively consent before a website form is sent. You may choose not to submit a form and contact us directly instead. General or precise location information is optional unless it becomes necessary later to perform a site survey you requested. You may withdraw consent for future processing by contacting us, subject to information we must retain for lawful purposes.
Who may receive it
Information is accessible only to authorized SilanganTech personnel and service providers needed to operate the website and deliver the request, including our website hosting provider and Google’s Gmail service for email delivery. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
How long we keep it
We keep submissions only for as long as reasonably necessary to assess and follow up your request, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes, or comply with applicable law. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it.
How we protect it
We use reasonable organizational and technical safeguards designed to limit unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or loss. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Your privacy rights
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act, you may have the right to be informed, access your personal information, object to processing, correct inaccurate data, request erasure or blocking where applicable, obtain data portability, claim damages, and file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
